It was cold, damp, dark and dreary last night. A good night to try a new restaurant, since most folks are probably home after a day of classes or work, staying warm and dry inside. Meaning a short wait, if any, to be seated. That’s what I thought.
Friday night foodies in Lakewood, Ohio aren’t easily deterred by Northcoast November weather. Our wait at Deagan’s Kitchen & Bar was about 45 minutes. That’s short, compared to the 90-minute wait a block away at the also popular Melt Bar & Grilled.
We had read several recommendations on Lakewood Buzz before visiting Deagan’s Kitchen & Bar, which opened five weeks ago. In a nutshell, Buzzers were agreeing the food was very good. A downside they pointed out… noise would drown out any dinner conversations in the space formerly occupied by a Cleats sports bar. Read more…
