What if I've changed my address

If you are already
registered to vote in Cuyahoga County and have changed
your address or changed your name, you must update your
voter registration. You can do this by submitting a new
(Voter Registration Status Form) to the Board of Elections
or updating your address or name when you go to vote.
What address may I list as my
residence?
Ohio law establishes
your residence as the place to which, whenever you are
absent, you have the intent to return. A post office box
or a business address is not an acceptable address for
your residence.

Can a college student from Lakewood
vote from their college residence even if it's not in
Lakewood?
Yes, if the student
establishes that place as their residence and registers to
vote. Otherwise, the student must vote in their home
county where they are registered to vote.
Where do I vote?
You vote in the precinct
in which you reside. When you register you will receive a
postcard indicating polling place serving your precinct.
If you have moved, but not updated your registration, call
the Voter Information Hotline at (216) 443-3298 and ask
for the precinct and voting location serving your new
address. Polling places are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30
p.m. on Election Day.
How do I vote?
Our county uses a punch
card voting system. If you have not used this type of
system before, an election official at your precinct will
demonstrate it for you when you go to vote.

other voter registration questions,
